Early Lead For Eastside Seals Fate For Jackson Red Devils Varsity

Jackson Red Devils Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-1 loss to Eastside on Saturday. Eastside scored on a stolen base by A Dobbs in the first inning and a groundout by K McAuliffe in the second inning.

The Jackson Red Devils Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Eastside, giving up seven runs.

Eastside got things moving in the first inning. Dobbs grounded out, scoring two runs.

K Rusk led things off in the circle for Eastside. She surrendered one run on one hit over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking one.

Bailey Christian started the game for Jackson Red Devils Varsity. She allowed eight hits and seven runs over six innings, striking out two.

Christian went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Jackson Red Devils Varsity in hits.

Eastside collected eight hits. McAuliffeN RayRusk, and J Brown each had multiple hits for Eastside. Eastside was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. H Henderson made the most plays with 15.
